On Sunday, July 20, the Makapo Canoe Club is having a fundraiser lunch at the Beach Pit BBQ in Costa Mesa. The restaurant will be donating a portion of the sales from anyone presenting a flyer. Flyer's can be obtained from any paddler. We'll be there at around 12:30PM, right after our long 3 hour practice! Beach Pit BBQ

Thank you to all who attended and made our 2nd Annual Benefit Luau a complete success! We hope all of you felt the aloha during the evening. Each member of the Makapo Canoe Club and the Board of Directors would like everyone to know how moving it was to have the turnout we did. Also, the Board apologizes for not talking about how the funds of the evening would be used. We would like to proudly say that luau has raised close to $10,000. 100% of the funds raised will be used solely for the Makapo Canoe Club race costs, the Get OnBoard!
