Mahalo to the Allergan Foundation for their support and for spreading the word about our work in their annual report.

We are very honored to announce that the Andrei Olenicoff Memorial Foundation, a foundation established to keep the spirit of its namesake alive, has agreed to donate funds to help in the purchase of two outrigger canoes.  The funds, along with funds from our other community partners, will allow our programs to always have boats at our disposal.

The partnership between Makapo Aquatics and the Andrei Foundation is a significant step in creating permanent programs and resources for the blind community in Orange County.

On behalf of all the Makapo Aquatics paddlers and staff, the Board of Directors would like the thank the Los Angeles Lakers Youth Foundation for the generous donation for 2008. Their generosity will certainly make both the Get OnBoard! Outreach Program and the Makapo Canoe Clubs a success and set the foundation for further growth for years to come.
